- Henderson, who said he served in the Royal Corps of Signals, 32 Signal Regiment in Northern Ireland, was surrounded by people displaying 'Freedom for Palestine' posters and staging a sit-in at the station.
- Henderson was helped by railway staff after being assaulted and managed to leave the station safely.
- British Transport Police confirmed they are investigating the reported assault which occurred around 3:30pm during the demonstration at the station.
- The incident came amid rising tensions during Palestine protests across the UK, including other station sit-ins and a scheduled pro-Palestinian march in London, planned coincidentally on Armistice Day.
