Overview

• Police were alerted at around midnight on July 5 after reports that three men verbally threatened a group of Turkish nationals in the Parkanlage Taubenloch.
• Officers detained three German suspects aged 25 to 45 within minutes and found the four uninjured victims, all Turkish residents aged 24 to 26, at the scene.
• One victim reported that two attackers wielded axes and shouted racist insults including “Ausländer, haut ab!”, heightening concerns over hate-crime elements.
• Under direction of Staatsanwaltschaft München II, Kriminalpolizeiinspektion Weilheim has assumed the investigation to assess whether xenophobic intent played a role.
