Overview
- Officers were called at around 7.10am on Saturday after a man in his 70s was found unresponsive in his car at the Asda store on Exploration Drive in Leicester.
- Leicestershire Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner.
- Yajaira Castro Mendez, 46, was reported missing on May 31 after leaving her Ilford home two days earlier.
- Her remains were discovered on June 7 in Hampshire’s Bolderwood area, prompting the transfer of the missing person investigation to the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.
- A man known to Ms Castro Mendez was charged with her murder on June 6 and has been remanded in custody.
