Overview
- A speedboat struck an inflatable tube at Cates Park on June 7 around 6:30 p.m., killing an 11-year-old and critically injuring another child
- North Vancouver RCMP arrested the speedboat operator at the scene and he remains in custody although no formal charges have been laid
