Police intensify search for missing 19-year-old Cole Cooper with public incident portal

After reviewing over 1,000 hours of footage, officers knocked on more than 220 doors to follow up local leads since his disappearance.

Overview

  • Police Scotland has reviewed over 1,000 hours of CCTV and conducted door-to-door inquiries at more than 220 homes in Falkirk and its vicinity.
  • A school friend reported Cooper’s last confirmed sighting at about 8:45pm on May 7 when he asked for a lift at the A803 and Cumbernauld Road junction in Longcroft.
  • The probe is being treated solely as a missing person investigation, with investigators finding no evidence of foul play or of Cooper posing a risk to himself.
  • Specialist resources including helicopters, marine dive teams and digital and financial investigators have joined local detectives in searches across Falkirk, Denny, Cumbernauld and Paisley.
  • Police have asked anyone with information to call 101 quoting incident number 828 of May 9 and have assured Cooper that he can reach out without fear.
