Overview

• San Diego police identified the man killed as Enrique Nunez, 40.
• Officers responded around 12:45 a.m. Monday to reports of gunfire near 7064 Levant Street and found Nunez with at least one gunshot wound.
• Lifesaving efforts were initiated at the scene before he was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
• Detectives say the shooter approached Nunez in the park and opened fire; no motive has been determined and no arrests have been made.
