Overview
- William Cowell, 27, of Etters, was pronounced dead at the scene on the 3100 block of Lewisberry Road around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
- The 25-year-old woman driving a 2018 Nissan Altima was seriously hurt and was in critical condition Thursday afternoon.
- Police said Cowell’s 2019 Volkswagen Jetta was attempting to pass another vehicle when it struck the Altima head-on.
- A third vehicle was involved in the collision, and its occupants were not injured, according to police.
- Newberry Township Police said the crash remains under active investigation and no additional information is being released.
