Police Hunt Teen Suspect After 9-Year-Old Shot in Racially Aggravated Bristol Attack

Detectives are appealing for dashcam and doorbell footage as they search for a teenage suspect on an e‑scooter.

  • The girl was struck three times by airgun pellets at about 1.30pm on 2 September in Chakeshill Drive, Brentry, and racially abusive language was reported during the assault.
  • Police released a description of a white male believed to be about 17–18 years old, around 5ft 11in with dark blond hair and a slim face, wearing a blue padded coat and riding a black electric scooter with white writing, and they believe a second offender was involved.
  • Avon and Somerset Police say the investigation is active with house-to-house and CCTV enquiries ongoing and no arrests announced.

  • The child is traumatised and has been referred to SARI for specialist support, with additional neighbourhood patrols in place and a Talk To Us event scheduled today on Charlton Road to hear residents’ concerns.
