• West Midlands Police are holding a 49-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman from Sandwell on suspicion of rape in both investigations.
• The pair were arrested on Friday after a woman in her 30s reported being attacked in Hurst Green Park, Halesowen, at around 7pm on Thursday.
• Officers later arrested them in connection with the September 9 assault on a young Sikh woman on Tame Road, Oldbury, which police are treating as racially aggravated.
• A further warrant of detention was granted on Sunday to continue questioning, with both victims receiving support from specialist officers.
• Detectives are appealing for CCTV or dashcam footage, noting an earlier suspect in the Oldbury case was arrested on September 14 and bailed, as community rewards totaling about £30,000 remain in place.
