Police Find PhonePe Notes Saying 'I Killed My Wife for You' in Bengaluru Doctor Murder Case

Investigators say forensic checks of the accused surgeon’s seized devices revealed messages to multiple women, widening the inquiry beyond the toxicology findings that prompted his October arrest.

Overview

  • Whitefield police say the messages were sent to at least four or five women and confirm one was delivered via PhonePe after the recipient had blocked him on other platforms.
  • Officers have recorded statements from recipients and say there is no evidence so far that the women were involved in the crime.
  • Dr Mahendra Reddy GS was arrested on October 14 after an FSL report detected Propofol in Dr Kruthika M Reddy’s organs, leading the case to be booked as murder under Section 103 of the BNS 2023.
  • Investigators allege he used his medical access and knowledge to administer anaesthetic intravenously under the pretext of treatment at her father’s home in April.
  • Police have sent his phone and laptop to the FSL for analysis as they probe drug procurement, digital communications, and related background claims while he remains in custody.
