Overview

• Officers discovered over 12 skulls and numerous other bones stored in boxes and bags inside a Jardim Paulista apartment, along with a sealed box and old photographs.
• The residence belonged to a 79-year-old man who was found dead earlier in the week without signs of violence, according to police records.
• Tools recovered at the scene, including digging equipment, led investigators to treat grave theft as the main line of inquiry, according to the Military Police.
