Overview

• Officers located a man's body just before 11 a.m. Tuesday using a law enforcement drone in a field within the city of New Prague.
• Police say they believe the body is 24-year-old Logan Sampson, who was reported missing on Sept. 7, but official identification and cause of death remain pending with the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.
• Sampson was last seen on his home doorbell camera around 1:30 a.m. Sunday as he let out the family dog before disappearing.
• Search efforts involved New Prague police and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension deploying dogs, drones, and aircraft, while more than 100 volunteers used Holy Trinity Church as a base to comb ponds and farmland.
• Family members reported recent seizures that caused memory issues, said his phone was not with him and its battery had died, and noted they had no reason to believe he would harm himself or that he had access to firearms.
