Police Fatally Shoot Woman After High-Speed Chase Across Delaware and Pennsylvania

23-year-old Yazmyn Stewart was killed following a multi-agency pursuit involving gunfire and multiple vehicle crashes.

The chase began in Wilmington, Delaware, where officers attempted to serve a warrant for a 2023 shooting.
Stewart fled, ramming police vehicles and leading officers on a pursuit along I-95 into Pennsylvania.
After crashing and exchanging gunfire with police, Stewart carjacked two more vehicles during her escape.
The pursuit ended in Chester, Pennsylvania, with multiple officers firing on Stewart's vehicle, resulting in her death.
Investigations are underway by the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office and Wilmington Police Department.
