Overview
- Emergency services responded to Scott Close shortly before 11pm on Monday after reports of a large dog attacking people.
- Officers located a Staffordshire Bull Terrier–Mastiff–type cross that had bitten a 36-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man who were walking along the street.
- The dog then entered a nearby home and attacked a 14-year-old boy inside.
- Paramedics treated all three victims at the scene and transported them to John Hunter Hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
- Investigators are seeking to identify the dog's owner with council rangers, and inquiries are continuing.
