Police: Dog Triggers Shotgun, Wounds Owner in Pennsylvania Home

Authorities call it an accidental shooting with the man's condition still unreported.

Officers were called to a home on the 300 block of State Street in Shillington around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said the man had been cleaning a shotgun and set it on a bed when a dog jumped up, causing it to fire into his back.
Responding officers found the 53-year-old on the floor and conscious.
He was taken to Reading Hospital, where he underwent surgery.
His post-surgery condition has not been released.
