Police Dismantle Two Valencia Drug Points, Arrest Five in Alzira and Russafa

Surveillance-led raids targeted delivery-style microdealing, seizing cocaine, cannabis, tusi and the synthetic stimulant Alfa.

Overview

  • In Alzira, officers broke up a home-based sales point and arrested two men, aged 25 and 27, after observing scooter and vehicle deliveries known as telecoca.
  • That search found 2,915 grams of marijuana, 191 grams of hashish, €2,955 in cash, a precision scale and other sales materials, with one suspect also accused of money laundering.
  • In Valencia’s Russafa neighborhood, police detained two men and a woman, ages 24 to 37, following an October investigation into small-scale dealing from a residence.
  • A November 12 search in Russafa seized 63 grams of cocaine, 46 grams of Alfa, 14 grams of marijuana, 0.7 grams of tusi, €1,425, two scales, knives and a blank-firing revolver.
  • Judicial outcomes differ: in Alzira one suspect was brought before a judge and the other released after a statement, while in Russafa the two men went to court and the woman was released after declaring.
