Police Dismantle Madrid Drug Network Using Italian-Plated Cars as Xàbia Checkpoint Yields Four Arrests

The actions underscore a coordinated push against conventional narcotics plus mixed synthetics such as tusi.

Overview

  • Policía Nacional detained six people tied to a Madrid distribution group that moved cocaine, tusi and other drugs using vehicles with Italian plates, with four suspects now in provisional prison.
  • Searches linked to the Madrid case seized over €10,000 in cash, about 600 grams of cocaine, 3 grams of tusi, 76 grams of hashish, more than 200 grams of marijuana, nearly 400 grams of methamphetamine, phones and weapons.
  • The Madrid investigation began in May after a stop in Villa de Vallecas uncovered more than two kilos of cocaine in a car with Italian plates, leading detectives to a “lanzadera” vehicle setup for distribution.
  • In early September, three people were arrested in a rental car reported stolen, where officers found a loaded firearm and drugs including cocaine, tusi and methamphetamine hidden under a seat.
  • Separately, Xàbia’s local police detained four occupants of a vehicle at a 01:25 checkpoint after a canine search found apparent cocaine, hashish and tusi, later placing them at the Guardia Civil’s disposal.
