Overview
- Santa Catarina police on Sunday identified the remains as Daniel Luiz da Silveira, 28, Bruno Máximo da Silva, 28, Guilherme Macedo de Almeida, 20, and Pedro Henrique Prado de Oliveira, 19.
- The bodies were discovered on Saturday in Biguaçu’s Fundos area, tied and in decomposition with apparent mutilation, according to the Military Police.
- The four had moved from Minas Gerais and São Paulo to Greater Florianópolis seeking work and were living together in São José.
- Security cameras recorded them leaving their building around 3 a.m. on December 28, and a neighbor reported their apartment open with personal items and food left on the stove two days later.
- The remains are at the IML in Florianópolis for documentation and scientific analysis, and authorities have not disclosed suspects or official causes of death.
