• Armean Shirehjini and Andranik Avetisyan were taken into custody at a Sherman Oaks residence identified by detectives using surveillance footage.
• Shirehjini was allegedly carrying a handgun at the time of his arrest, according to Glendale police.
• Investigators executed search warrants at both suspects’ homes and reported seizing cash and dozens of checks made out to the wedding couple.
• The theft occurred just before 1 a.m. on Aug. 31 at the Renaissance Banquet Hall in Glendale, with video showing the suspect enter a newer black Mercedes SUV to flee.
• Police say the suspect lingered about an hour before taking the locked gift box, and they are asking anyone with information to contact Glendale burglary detectives at 818-548-3127.
