Police Arrest Two for Murder, Fear More Victims

Accused used social media aliases, police still searching for victim's car

Marcel Lapensee, 56, and Samantha Osborne, 23, were arrested in December 2023 for the murder of 50-year-old Rose Kerwin, whose body was found in the Mississippi River near Pakenham, Ontario.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) believe there may be other victims, as the accused used aliases on social media and a dating site.
In addition to the murder charge, Lapensee and Osborne face charges of forcible confinement, sexual assault, and uttering threats related to another victim in a separate incident reported on November 15, 2023.
Police are still searching for Kerwin's vehicle, a blue 2013 Mazda GX sedan with Ontario license plate CSXW 383.
The OPP is asking anyone who may have interacted with the accused to contact them.
