Overview

• The 22-year-old met a user calling himself Rahul on Grindr and was called to Mulund station before being led to a dilapidated building near the Industrial Training Institute.
• Four men then barged in, abused and assaulted him, forced him to strip, filmed him and threatened to publish the footage online.
• The group took his gold chain, mobile phone, watch and cash under threat of exposing the videos.
• Navghar police registered offences under the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, citing sections 310 (dacoity), 115 (voluntarily causing hurt), 351 (criminal intimidation) and 352 (intentional insult).
• Investigators arrested Mushahid Kapadia, 20, Sachin Gaikwad, 18, and Aryan Waydande, 18, based on technical and other evidence, while two accomplices remain at large.
