• Efrain Villalobos, 28, was apprehended Sunday afternoon in Redondo Beach after LAPD released images and warnings that he was armed and dangerous.
• Police allege he approached driver Fernando Ramirez moments after the July 19 crash disabled and shot him in the lower back during a chaotic scene outside the Vermont Hollywood nightclub.
• Ramirez remains in custody on 74 felony counts, including 37 attempted murder and 37 assault with a deadly weapon charges, with bail set at $37 million.
• Investigators say 37 people were injured when Ramirez’s vehicle plowed into the crowd, and at least 23 were hospitalized for injuries ranging from fractures to lacerations.
• Villalobos is booked without bail on an attempted murder charge and his case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing.
