Overview
- Around 1:30 a.m. on July 2, four armed men used an iron ladder to climb onto the roof of Rajkumar and Manju Yadav’s house in Alapur village and held the family at gunpoint.
- The robbers fled with about ₹50 lakh in cash kept for land registry work, gold and silver jewellery, and a licensed 12-bore rifle.
- Villagers alerted authorities and police dispatched fingerprint experts, a dog squad and forensic teams to secure the crime scene.
- Following the robbery, Morena police arrested one suspect and carried out raids at relatives’ homes to deepen the investigation.
- Morena SP Sameer Saurabh has vowed to apprehend the remaining three alleged dacoits as the cyber cell continues to analyse digital evidence.
