- Nyim Alexander, 32, was arrested on August 12 and charged with four counts of attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault and multiple firearms offences over the August 8 laneway shooting on King Street West.
- Police allege Alexander, riding a motorcycle, circled back to a group of friends at Sudbury Street, opened fire and fled, leaving a man and a woman in their 30s hospitalised with life-threatening injuries.
- Under Project Poppie, authorities announced July 24 arrests of four suspects and laid 88 new charges in the November 11, 2024 Queen Street West recording-studio gun battle, bringing total arrests in that probe to 36.
- Investigators say they have seized 16 firearms in the Project Poppie inquiry, including weapons allegedly modified for fully automatic fire.
