• Mumbai’s LT Marg police identified the accused as 24-year-old Kapil Brijmohan Soni, a jeweller from the Bhadwasia Mahadev Mandir area of Jodhpur.
• Around three kilograms of silver ornaments, including a silver shivling valued near Rs 3 lakh, were recovered after the items were allegedly buried, police said.
• A team led by Assistant Police Inspector Bhandare with constables Kamble, Sanap and Wakchaure detained Soni in Jodhpur and brought him to Mumbai on transit remand.
• Police say the arrest has helped connect at least half a dozen similar offences, including three earlier silver-theft cases registered under LT Marg jurisdiction.
