Police Appeal After Royal Mail Postwoman Punched and Parcels Stolen in Newtown

Police issue a renewed appeal for footage to identify two suspects in a white Transit van.

  • Police say two people approached her and one punched her in the stomach before parcels were taken from the vehicle.
  • The suspects reportedly appeared to be highway maintenance workers and left the scene in a white Ford Transit.
  • Suspect one is described as a white man of large build in his 30s or 40s with dark hair, wearing a green parka and a black woollen bobble hat.
  • Suspect two is described as white with gender unknown, in their 30s or early 40s, wearing a grey tracksuit, a yellow hi‑viz vest and a dark baseball cap; anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage is asked to contact Derbyshire Constabulary quoting 25*735992 or CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.
