Overview
- The theft happened Aug. 2 around 6:30 p.m. from a parking lot in the 2400 block of Cabana Road East near Walker Road.
- The cargo comprised 530 boxes of boneless beef chuck roast valued at about $222,000 CAD, or roughly $160,000 USD.
- The semi and trailer bore the marking “Cost 2 Coast Xpress” and had been parked for about four hours before the theft.
- Two men broke into the semi and drove away with the trailer; one had a slim build with long dark curly hair and wore all black, and the other wore dark pants, a light shirt and a dark baseball hat.
- Police believe the trailer moved along Highway 401, report no recovery to date, and ask residents and businesses to share any CCTV or dashcam footage with Windsor police or Crime Stoppers.
