Police: 1 Killed, 1 Critically Wounded in Targeted Shooting Inside Roseland Apartment

Investigators say the gunman was a known offender who approached the men before opening fire.

The shooting occurred shortly after 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 0–100 block of East 100th Street on Chicago’s South Side.
Police say the victims were inside an apartment when a man they know pulled a gun and fired multiple times.
A 23-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to authorities.
A 26-year-old man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and remains in critical condition.
No arrests have been announced as Area 2 detectives search for the shooter and continue the investigation.
