Overview

• Operation Verano 2025 runs from July 1 to August 31 across Castelló and Alicante provinces with heightened security presence
• Around 275 officers will be deployed in Castelló with 307 in Alicante, and thirty trainees will join in July with 20 posted to Castelló and 10 to Vila-real
• Specialized teams including the Grupo de Acción Ciudadana, cavalry, drone units, canine squads and TEDAX will patrol beaches, commercial zones and critical infrastructure
• French police officers will patrol Alicante and Benidorm under the Comisarías Europeas project until August 15 to assist with tourist safety
• Free identification bracelets for children will be distributed at beaches, hotels and tourist offices to improve lost-child response
