Polestar 4 Gets Refinement-Focused 2027 Update in Australia

Overview

• Polestar announced on Wednesday that the 2027 Polestar 4 is open for orders in Australia from the unchanged entry price of $78,500 with deliveries due in July–August 2026.
• There are no powertrain changes for MY27: the Rear motor keeps its 200 kW/343 Nm single motor and WLTP range of about 620 km while the Dual motor retains the combined 400 kW/686 Nm output and 590 km WLTP range.
• Polestar has recalibrated suspension, fitted new high‑capacity dampers and revised the steering tune to deliver a more controlled ride, better body control and improved steering precision.
• The options list has been reshuffled so 22 kW AC charging is now a $900 standalone option, a new $1,200 Comfort pack adds heated steering wheel and 12‑way front seats, the Plus pack drops to $6,500, and the $7,200 Performance pack remains available.
• Polestar reports lower cradle‑to‑gate emissions for Australian deliveries (Dual motor 20.3 tCO2e, Rear motor 19.4 tCO2e), and the Polestar 4 remains the brand’s best seller locally, a change aimed at boosting value perception and lifecycle emissions ahead of a new body style expected later in 2026 or early 2027.
