Polestar 3 Sees Major Price Cut and Range Increase Ahead of Launch

The electric SUV's starting price drops by $10,500, with improved range estimates announced as it prepares for a Q2 2024 market entry.

Polestar announced a significant price reduction for the Polestar 3, lowering the starting price to $73,400, a $10,500 decrease from the initial estimate.
The Polestar 3's range has been increased, with the base model now expected to achieve up to 315 miles on a single charge, a 5% improvement.
Production of the Polestar 3 will start in Q2 2024, with initial units being manufactured in Chengdu, China, before additional production begins in South Carolina.
The electric SUV will be available in multiple configurations, including a Performance Pack version that boosts output to 517 hp and reduces 0-60 mph times.
Despite the price cut, the Polestar 3 will not qualify for the $7,500 federal tax credit unless leased, due to its initial production location in China.
