Polestar 3 Gets 2026 Overhaul With 800V Architecture, Faster Charging and More Power

Polestar will retrofit the new Nvidia Orin computer to existing 3 owners at no cost starting early 2026.

Overview

  • Peak DC charging rises to up to 350 kW on the new 800V system, cutting 10–80% top‑ups to as little as 22 minutes.
  • New CATL battery packs are fitted across the range, with 92 kWh in the Rear motor model and 106 kWh in Dual motor and Performance versions, and efficiency gains of up to 6% claimed.
  • A Polestar‑designed permanent‑magnet rear motor and an automatically disconnecting front motor shift the torque bias rearward, with the Performance model rated at up to 670 bhp and 0–62 mph in 3.9 seconds.
  • Onboard compute jumps from 30 to 254 TOPS with Nvidia Drive AGX Orin to speed active safety, battery control and sensor processing.
  • UK range is simplified to Rear motor, Dual motor and Performance, priced from £69,990 to £91,990, with orders open now and first deliveries due early 2026 as the 2025 allocation is sold out.
