Poland to Reopen Two Belarus Border Crossings on Nov. 17
Belarus reports its adjacent checkpoints are fully prepared for a limited resumption of traffic.
Overview
- Poland formally notified Minsk it will open the Kuznica-Belostotskaya and Bobrowniki checkpoints at 02:00 on Nov. 17 (Belarus time).
- An order signed by Poland’s interior minister sets Kuznica for passenger traffic only, with buses excluded.
- Bobrowniki will take passenger cars and buses plus trucks from the EU, EEA states and Switzerland.
- Belarusian customs says the Bruzgi and Berestovitsa crossings are staffed, upgraded and ready to resume movement.
- The move follows a brief delay coordinated with Lithuania and adds capacity to a border recently limited to one freight route and one passenger route.
