Overview
- Poland formally notified Belarus that Bobrowniki and Kuznica Belostocka will resume operations at 02:00 on 17 November local time.
- Belarus’s border agency says staff and systems are in place after meetings with Polish border and customs officials and completion of Polish engineering works.
- Berestovitsa–Bobrowniki will handle passenger cars, buses, and cargo vehicles from the EU, EEA, and Switzerland, while Bruzgi–Kuznica Belostocka will be limited to passenger cars.
- Electronic queue registration begins at 20:00 on 16 November, and vehicles in waiting areas will be admitted through the system once operations restart.
- The two crossings had been shut for years—Bobrowniki since 10 February 2023 and Kuznica for over four years—diverting traffic to just one freight post (Kukuryki–Kozlovichi) and one passenger post (Terespol–Brest) despite prior annual volumes of about 2 million people and over 4 million vehicles.
