Poland, Hanwha Seal 14 Billion-Zloty Homar-K Rocket Deal With Local Production From 2030

The third-stage pact centers on CGR-080 guided rockets with manufacturing transferred to a Polish joint venture to bolster defense autonomy.

Overview

  • The Polish Armament Agency signed the contract in Warsaw with a consortium of Hanwha Aerospace and Hanwha-WB Advanced System.
  • The agreement, valued at 5.6 trillion won (14 billion złoty, about €3.3 billion), covers 239-mm CGR-080 precision-guided rockets with an 80-kilometer range.
  • Rockets will be produced at a new facility in Poland operated by the Hanwha-WB joint venture, with deliveries scheduled to start in 2030.
  • The deal includes technology transfer, and Polish officials said it achieves production independence for the Homar-K program.
  • The contract is the third stage after 2022 and 2024 packages for launcher modules, missiles, and support, and the signing was attended by South Korean presidential envoy Kang Hoon-sik.
