Pokémon UNITE to End Service March 23, 2027

Players must download a new Library in November to preserve selected records and unlocked content before the live game becomes unplayable after servers close.

Overview

  • The Pokémon Company and TiMi Studio Group announced on Tuesday that service for Pokémon UNITE will end on March 23, 2027, and after that date players will not be able to log in or play online matches.
  • Sales of Aeos Gems and new Unite Club purchases and automatic renewals were suspended immediately on October 27, 2026, and players can spend existing Gems and keep active membership benefits until servers close.
  • A final update and farewell event will launch on November 12, 2026, adding a Unite Coin Exchange plus missions and login bonuses to let players obtain previously released items before shutdown.
  • The Aeos Crown 2027 competitive circuit will continue as planned with regional qualifiers beginning December 5, 2026 and finals in Tokyo shortly before the service end, marking the game’s last major esports event.
  • The Library feature requires a pre-shutdown data download to preserve certain licenses, cosmetics, achievements and stats locally, that data is generally non-transferable and will not be supported after March 23, 2027, a reality that underscores risks players face when live-service games close.
