Pokémon Legends: Z‑A Holds No. 1 in Japan as Switch 2 Leads Hardware for the Week

Famitsu’s physical-only tally points to sustained demand that is lifting software and keeping Nintendo’s newest console out front.

  • Pokémon Legends: Z‑A sold 195,849 copies on Switch and 71,991 on Switch 2 for 267,840 additional retail units in the Oct. 20–26 window.
  • Switch 2 was the best-selling console of the week with 65,434 units sold, ahead of the Switch family at 25,109 and PlayStation 5 at 10,503.
  • Once Upon a KATAMARI was the top new release, opening with 17,289 units on Switch and 4,596 on PS5 for 21,885 retail copies.
  • NINJA GAIDEN 4 debuted on PS5 with 11,973 boxed sales, entering the weekly software chart.
  • Mario Kart World (Switch 2) moved 35,176 units for a 1,966,569 lifetime total, as rankings 11–30 are due October 31.
