Overview

  • An XP celebration runs Aug. 25 through Oct. 14 with double catch-throw XP, +3,000 XP from Raids and Max Battles, and new Timed Research worth over 7 million XP.
  • Level-Up Research tied to levels 41–50 will be removed, and new Level-Up tasks will debut for levels 71–80.
  • The overall XP curve will be rebalanced so levels come more frequently, some trainers may auto-jump in level on Oct. 15, and no one’s current level will drop.
  • Progression rewards expand with permanent boosts to Pokémon, item and Gift storage and new avatar items starting at level 25, all granted retroactively where applicable.
  • Legacy recognition includes retired 41–50 rewards remaining with recipients, a new level‑50 avatar pose for those who reached it pre‑update, and a commemorative medal for each player’s pre‑change highest level.
