Pokimane, one of the most popular streamers on Twitch, has announced she is leaving the platform after a decade.
She cited the rise of 'manosphere, red pill bulls***' from male creators, Twitch's 'messy' management, and a desire for more freedom as reasons for her departure.
Pokimane plans to experiment with other streaming platforms like YouTube, and will not be signing an exclusive contract with any platform.
She also criticized Twitch's handling of partnerships, marketing, moderation, and its inability to effectively deal with harassment and stalking of streamers.
Pokimane's first stream on YouTube is scheduled for February 1, 2024.
