Leaks suggest the Pokemon TCG Scarlet & Violet: Destined Rivals set will release on May 30, 2025, with pre-release events occurring from May 17 to May 25.
The set will reportedly merge content from Japan's Heat Wave Arena and The Glory of Team Rocket expansions, following the trend of larger English-language releases.
Confirmed cards include Cynthia's Garchomp ex, Ethan's Ho-Oh ex, Steven's Metagross ex, Marnie's Grimmsnarl ex, Misty's Gyarados, and Rocket's Mewtwo ex.
While Team Rocket will feature in the set, it will not be the central theme, contrary to speculation about its prominence.
The release continues the return of Trainer’s Pokemon cards, a concept originally introduced in the Gym Heroes and Gym Challenge expansions.
