Pokemon Go Players Discover Method to Evolve Annihilape Without Leaving Home

The new method involves battling Blanche in the Master League, with Primeape set as the player's buddy.

A Pokemon Go player has discovered a way to evolve Primeape into Annihilape without leaving the house, by battling Blanche in the Master League, who uses a Metagross, a Psychic-type Pokemon that counts towards Annihilape’s requirements.
Primeape does not need to defeat these Pokémon or participate in the battle to progress this evolution requirement, it simply needs to be your buddy as you defeat ghost- and psychic-types with other Pokémon.
Other methods to speed up the process include battling a friend in local battles with their party filled with low level ghost- or psychic-type Pokémon, or finding a Team Rocket grunt which has a team of ghost- or psychic-type Pokémon.
Annihilape can be shiny in Pokémon Go, as the prior Pokémon in the evolution chain — Mankey and Primeape — are already shiny eligible.
Annihilape evolutions will remain available after its introduction in the Raging Battles event, and there should be plenty of other events in January 2024 to look forward to.
