  • East Khasi Hills Special POCSO Court sentenced BSF personnel Kamal Kumar Thapa to 20 years’ rigorous imprisonment for a 2013 assault, imposed a ₹50,000 POCSO fine with concurrent IPC terms, and recommended ₹5 lakh in compensation.
  • A Ri-Bhoi Special POCSO Court gave Mawri Ksing, Sbishon Songthiang, and Bron Prang 10 years’ rigorous imprisonment each for a 2017 assault on three minors, with additional concurrent terms for trespass, harassment, and aggravated sexual assault.
  • A Manipur Special POCSO Court sentenced 58-year-old Moirangthem Ibochou Singh to five years’ rigorous imprisonment for aggravated sexual assault and convicted his wife for failure to report, while ordering ₹1.5 lakh in victim compensation.
