  • In Mangaluru, a fast-track court sentenced Fakeerappa Hanumappa Madara to death for murdering a 13-year-old and to life for penetrative sexual assault, with a ₹1 lakh fine and DLSA-directed compensation to the family.
  • A Nandyal court awarded Sake Raj Kumar 21 years’ imprisonment and a ₹35,000 penalty for kidnapping, illegal confinement and sexual assault following an investigation that began with a 2018 missing complaint.
