PNP Raids in Lima Norte Net Extortion Duo and ‘False Taxi’ Robbery Trio

Intelligence-led tactics enabled seizures followed by a swift transfer to prosecutors.

Overview

  • The extortion suspects were identified as Ismael Antonio Rivera Valencia, known as “Gordo Coco,” and Joselin Celeste Flores Oré, known as “Chata,” detained in Comas after surveillance tied them to threats in San Juan de Lurigancho and nearby districts.
  • Police report the pair targeted businesses in the wood sector, demanding up to 40,000 soles through texts, photos and intimidation that included bullets and staged videos, a scheme they linked to the name “Los Injertos de San Juan de Lurigancho.”
  • Officers seized phones, munitions and digital files matching the threat materials, and the detainees were placed at the disposal of the San Juan de Lurigancho prosecutor’s office as analysis of the evidence continues.
  • In a separate operation supported by Lima’s Serenazgo, officers arrested Julio Daniel Serna Moreno, Joao Abraham Palomino Chileno and Julio Alexander Moreno Pacara for robberies using a bogus taxi app and raqueteo while moving in a red mototaxi near Avenida Argentina and jirón Villón.
  • Police recovered a firearm, ammunition, multiple stolen phones, a bag of SIM cards and the mototaxi, noted prior records for robbery and micro‑drug dealing, and transferred the three to the Conde de la Vega station for aggravated robbery, illegal arms possession and criminal association inquiries.
