Overview
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the train in Varanasi at around 8:15 am on 8 November, according to the PMO.
- The service will run as train numbers 26422/26421 over 443 km in about 7 hours 40 minutes, the fastest on the corridor.
- Daily timings published list a 5:25 am departure from Varanasi arriving Khajuraho at 1:10 pm, with the return leaving at 3:20 pm and reaching Varanasi at 11:00 pm.
- The route includes five halts—Vindhyachal, Prayagraj Chheoki, Chitrakoot Dham, Banda, and Mahoba—and will operate six days a week except Thursdays.
- The eight-coach rake comprises seven AC chair cars and one executive chair car, with primary maintenance based in Varanasi and the start date for regular passenger service yet to be announced.
