PMDC Sets MDCAT 2026 Date and Registration Rules

The council has fixed fees, a detailed 180‑question test format and named provincial exam centres so candidates can register and plan their applications.

Overview

  • The council, which announced the schedule on Friday, June 19, set the MDCAT for August 16 at 10:00 am and opened online registration from June 22 with regular closing on July 8 and late registration until July 13.
  • PMDC fixed fees at Rs9,000 for regular and Rs13,000 for late registration inside Pakistan and Rs45,000 regular and Rs55,000 late for international candidates with all fees non‑refundable and non‑transferable.
  • The paper will be 180 multiple‑choice questions with no negative marking and a subject split of 81 Biology, 45 Chemistry, 36 Physics, 9 English and 9 Logical Reasoning.
  • Provincial universities will run the test locally—UHS Lahore for Punjab, Sukkur IBA for Sindh, Khyber Medical University for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Bolan University for Balochistan and SZABMU for Islamabad, AJK, GB and Riyadh—while PMDC will supervise nationwide conduct and restrict candidates to centres within their domicile or province.
  • The MDCAT remains mandatory for MBBS and BDS admission so candidates should register within the stated windows, check the assigned university websites for centre details and note that higher international fees and domicile limits may affect access for some overseas and interprovincial applicants.
