Overview
- Intermittent rain, thunderstorms, gusty winds and isolated hail are forecast from Sunday night through Tuesday for Islamabad and Rawalpindi as well as Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
- Heavy downpours could trigger flash floods in rain-fed streams and low-lying nullahs in districts such as Dir, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Murree, Galiyat, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Kashmir.
- PMD reported measurable rain in the past 24 hours, including 47 mm at Noorpur Thal, 37 mm at Bannu, 33 mm at Toba Tek Singh and 25 mm at Lahore Airport.
- Lahore and other plains saw a 4–5°C daytime temperature drop as the wet spell continues, with further showers expected into midweek.
- Most of Sindh and much of Balochistan are expected to remain hot and dry with only isolated coastal or Tharparkar activity, and the public is urged to stay vigilant and plan travel carefully.
