Overview

• PMD projects mainly hot and dry conditions nationwide over the next 24–48 hours.
• Extremely hot afternoons are expected in the southern plains, with temperatures rising in Sindh and southern Punjab, including Karachi, Hyderabad and interior districts.
• Isolated light rain or thunderstorms may develop in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly around Chitral, Swat, Malakand and Dir.
• Night and early morning cold is forecast in hilly zones such as Murree and Galiyat and in northern Balochistan districts including Quetta, Ziarat and Kalat.
• Islamabad and most plains will stay dry, with patchy morning fog possible in parts of Punjab.
