Overview
- PMD says a westerly system will strengthen on Dec. 30, with rain in Balochistan from Dec. 29–31, spreading to upper and central regions on Dec. 31 and persisting over the north until Jan. 2.
- Karachi is expected to record its first winter rainfall on Dec. 30 with light rain or drizzle and a subsequent drop in temperatures.
- Moderate to heavy snowfall is forecast for key tourist areas including Murree and Galliyat, Swat, Naran–Kaghan, Hunza, Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir from Dec. 30 through the morning of Jan. 2.
