Overview
- A westerly wave is expected to reach upper Pakistan late on Nov. 3 and prevail through Nov. 5, triggering a short wet spell.
- Rain, windstorms and thunderstorms are likely across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir, with snowfall over higher elevations.
- Gilgit-Baltistan, including Diamir, Astore, Skardu, Gilgit, Hunza, Ghanche and Shigar, is forecast to see similar conditions from Nov. 4 into the morning of Nov. 5.
- Showers are also likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Chakwal, Jhelum, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal and Lahore, with isolated hail possible.
- Authorities advise farmers, travelers and tourists to plan cautiously as temperatures fall and winds, hail and lightning could damage loose structures, while rain may briefly ease smog.
